• Evergreen Hollowtree Walk - The walk features about 85 species of trees indiginous to Illinois.
• Lake Sara - this 800 acre recreational lake, nestled into a wooded shoreline, offers boat rentals, pavillion meeting space complete with horseshoes and volleyball.

Vineyards

• Vahling Vineyards - 21 varieties of wine
• Cameo Vineyards - Located in a picturesque setting on a hillside overlooking the Embarras River valley and the covered bridge. The Winery is constructed of timber from Dan Webb’s family farm and the interior is finished with barn wood and artifacts from the circa 1900 barn on the same farm. Offering half a dozen varieties of red and white wines, featuring locally grown grapes.

Opening Fall 2007 - Rosebud Theater - 1550 seat theatrical and performing arts center. Scheduled to feature a variety of top music artists, comedians, musicals, and live stage plays.

MidAmerica Motorworks

The "MY Garage Museum & Retail Store" features Mike Yager's continuously expanding showcase of classic and low-mileage Corvettes and Air-Cooled Volkswagens, in addition to a wide array of automotive memorabilia. The entire collection is displayed in a unique 1950's-60's style backdrop, complete with storefront settings and jukebox music. Of the 30+ Corvettes and Volkswagens on display, highlights include the "Last C4", the CERV 1, SCCA Challenge Race Cars, and a 1954 Corvette Roadster, and actual "Herbie Fully Loaded." Mid America Motorworks also holds Corvette and VW workshops and seminars monthly in the MY Garage Museum. Mon. -Sat. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Cross

Soaring above the landscape at the convergence of Interstates 57 & 70, just south of Effingham the Cross at the Crossroads creates an imposing sight. The cross took several months to construct. The 180.0 tons of steel were lifted into place by a crane. Construction was funded through a million dollars in private donations. A Visitors Center is located at the base of the Cross.
